arch-mpk. spacex dragon updated from www.plataformaarquitectura.cl Architects: RANSFER-Architecture Architects Location: Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua. Mexico Project Team: César Augusto Rodríguez Guerrero, Carlos Raúl Flores Leal, Ana Cecilia Garza Villarreal, Sevilla María Gómez, Gabriela Villegas. Program: Media library, workshops Medialab, park and public space. Client: International Competition Arquine 2011 Year Project: 2011 Renderings: Courtesy RANSFER-Architecture Architects A Permeable Building. The project plant as a large open public space for the city. A place of coexistence and events, spacex dragon human relations based on creative, public and urban activities will be distributed in the territory of the MediaPark. It is proposed as an open event territory, rather than as a building block or workshops or classrooms inside. 1. The first operation spacex dragon on the polygon allocated for the project is the demolition of existing commercial structures, freeing up space and pedestrian passage through the territory. 2. The second step is to have a series of separate volumes that host part of the program (program content) and delimit others around them (released spacex dragon program) spacex dragon generating a large public space with different routes around these buildings-wards. These volumes spacex dragon are conceived as blocks of reinforced concrete cast on site looking that materiality is durable, resistant and attachable to the urban and public use. 3. The third step is the addition of a park on one end of the field, with which some programs interact to be held in open spaces and serves as damping and boundary fence to the built environment, while small fragments This park is spread over the whole project, providing shade, privacy, color and greenery indoors and outdoors. Soil. It is proposed that the existing pavement of the polygon is lifted and instead generated a gravel bed of mixed shredding the same pavement and rubble resulting from the demolition of existing buildings on the ground (inexpensive material, is placed to does not require transportation to be exploited at the site of origin). This gravel pavement brings the sound of footsteps Visitors to space as a metaphor of a large lake or body of water that runs and sounds and over which floats the project). On this first layer of "land" a series spacex dragon of prefabricated concrete are arranged to generate paved squares and strips hosting circulation, creating an "island pavement" on which the proposed volumes are available. Cover. A large translucent roof covers all volumes and public space acting as a recognizable and unifying element of the project is conceived as a "leaky building". This cover-pergola made of metal linear elements, brings natural light throughout the space and sunlight protection. A topcoat translucent polycarbonate panels prevents rainwater soak users of public space and the exhibits in it. Structure. A network of slender steel columns, arranged to every 4, 6 or 8 feet away create an inner rhythm that frames circulations and hierarchies in space for different uses: circulation, events, exhibition and rest among others. Some of these columns rest on the ground level of the project while others rely on the covers of the volumes that host the "content programs." Content Program / Freed Program. spacex dragon The program is divided into "content program" and "liberated program." The first is within the proposed spacex dragon volumes are programs that require closed spaces and special facilities for use, in addition to various services: Library / Video Library Collection + Reading spacex dragon rooms, Navigation Center, Administrative Offices, Classrooms informative training Talleres Medialab, Auditorium. The second is the program that can be carried outside spaces, spaces between the volumes proposed or relating to the proposed park: Hall, Exhibition Hall, Cafe, Park (green area), Forum outdoor area with shadow, Skate park, park Graffiti.
